Analisis Faktor Penyebab Anak Putus Sekolah Di Kampung Kenawat Kecamatan Lut Tawar Kabupaten Aceh Tengah

Abstract

The issue of school dropouts remains a major challenge in the education sector, especially in rural areas such as Kampung Kenawat, Central Aceh Regency. Field data shows that 14 children dropped out of school after completing Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MIN), limiting their opportunities for further education and their future prospects. This study aims to analyze the factors causing school dropouts and the efforts made by parents, village officials, and the Education Office to address the issue. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies of informants, namely school dropouts, parents, village officials, and the Education Office. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the main factors causing children to drop out of school include economic factors, long distances to school, low interest in learning, cultural factors, and limited educational facilities. Efforts made include motivation from parents, data collection and economic assistance from village officials, and the distribution of assistance through the KIP and Package A, B, and C programs by the Education Office. However, there is no specific program that directly addresses the issue of school dropouts. This study recommends the need for a specific program, improved transportation facilities, and education outreach through a descriptive qualitative approach.
